To empower early stage companies with the operational resources they need to attain success in their partnership with Route 66.

“I will strive to be an entrepreneurial partner in order to help our companies achieve success and learn from failure.”David

David is passionate about early stage companies.  He wholeheartedly believes entrepreneurial environments allow passion and purpose to create outsized opportunities to effect change and create wealth.  As a byproduct, David loves the education and relationships that develop when building a product.  David also believes in the power of action based on strategic and quantitative analysis.

As an Associate at Route 66, David develops relationships and works closely with our credit portfolio partner companies.  He helps our companies and our credit investments team operationalize and improve processes, data, and reporting.  David is also responsible for managing a commercial real estate portfolio located in the Old Town historic district in Alexandria, Virginia.

More on his background:

Prior to joining Route 66 in 2015, David spent four years with The American Home (TAH), a Route 66 portfolio company.  TAH invested in and managed a single-family rental real estate portfolio.   At TAH, David served in management roles in investments, financial reporting, and operations, and became Chief Operating Officer, overseeing a team of 60 employees and management of 2500 properties.  In these roles he helped acquire distressed real estate assets, build a financial reporting framework, turn the company cash flow positive with gross revenues of $28 million per year, and ultimately sell the company for $263 million.

In his free time, David loves adventure and exploring the world with great people.  In the mornings, David enjoys wakeboarding or kayaking on the Potomac or biking to work.  He is an avid trail runner, snowboarder and surfer.  He has spent 9 months in South and Central America exploring different cultures and surf spots.  David’s latest adventure is focused on his family.  He has known his wife since kindergarten and has a beautiful daughter.
