Credit Portfolio Management Associate

Goal:

To partner with, advise, and grow with early stage companies in a way that converts passion and brilliance into a successful business model.

“As important as the numerical analysis behind every decision is the ability to identify unique character and a personal story. My favorite part of every partnership is the specific story behind each idea of brilliance, and the opportunity to help form that idea into a business strategy.”Ayaas

Bio:

Ayaas is a Portfolio Management Associate at Route 66, where he works with partner companies in the credit portfolio. Through his experiences working in Deutsche Bank’s strategy and structured finance groups, Ayaas has developed an appreciation for the various risks that can affect a company or transaction, and for different strategies that can be used to mitigate these risks from a C-level perspective.

Prior to joining Route 66, Ayaas worked for a year and a half on Deutsche Bank’s Business and Client Strategy team, where he helped create internal strategy and execute business development projects for the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank Americas. Prior to this role, he spent two years in Deutsche Bank’s Structured Credit Solutions Group, where he developed asset valuation models and methodologies for the portfolio’s esoteric products and bespoke structure offerings. Ayaas began his career at J.P. Morgan in London in the Credit Portfolio Group.

More on his background:

A Boston, Massachusetts native, Ayaas is an avid Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan. In his free time, Ayaas enjoys taking a surfboard to the beach in the summer and a pair of skis to the slopes in the winter. A competitive swimmer growing up, he enjoys the opportunity to partake in just about any sport that involves a ball and takes place on dry land.
